چکیده
Micro-electronic gas sensor devices were developed for the detection of carbon monoxide (CO), nitrogen oxides (NOx), ammonia (NH3), and formaldehyde (HCHO), as well binary mixed-gas systems. Four sensing materials different target gases, Pd-SnO2 CO, In2O3 NOx, Ru-WO3 NH3, SnO2-ZnO HCHO, synthesized using a sol-gel method, then fabricated micro platform. The behavior response to mixture examined six mixed systems experimental data in MEMS arrays sole gases their mixtures. with system suggests that specific adsorption selective activation sites might occur mixtures, allow selectivity particular gas. careful pattern recognition obtained by array made it possible distinguish species from measure its concentration.

A gas sensor array, consisting of seven Metal Oxide Semiconductor (MOS) sensors that are sensitive to a wide range of organic volatile compounds was developed to detect rotten onions during storage. These MOS sensors were enclosed in a specially designed Teflon chamber equipped with a gas delivery system to pump volatiles from the onion samples into the chamber. The electronic circuit mainly co...
متن کاملNanopowder Metal Oxide for Photoluminescent Gas Sensing
Gas sensing properties of metal oxide nanopowders (ZnO, TiO2, WO3, SnO2) with average diameters of 40-60 nm were analyzed by room-temperature photoluminescence spectroscopy. The influence of gas environment (O2, N2, H2, CO, CO2) on the emission intensity was investigated for metal oxide nanopowders with surface doped by impurities (Pt, Ag, Au, Sn, Ni or Cu). Established physicochemical regulari...

متن کاملNeural Networks for Signal Conditioning in Semiconductor Gas Sensor Arrays
Semiconductor gas sensors are widespread in application, e.g. for the detection of methane in city gas or carbon monoxide from incomplete combustion [1]. Due to the involved chemistry a sensor element does not react to just one gas component, but with different sensitivities to different gas components. Sensor elements prepared with different additives and different operating temperatures respo...

The escalating demand in automotive industry nowadays has evoked civic awareness towards environmental issues brought by the exhaust emissions through fossil fuel combustion engine or hydrogen leak in fuel cell vehicles. Metal-oxide-semiconductor (MOS)-based gas sensors that were able to monitor the changes of oxygen and hydrogen leak were required. By replenishing the conventional silicon-MOS-...
